Here Is Always Vanishing was a reading of five poets featuring live, reactive audio by myself and reactive video by Greg Ruben. The premise of the reading was an excavation of childhood memories of place and the perpetual disappearance of those imagined and experienced places in the process of urban and personal development.

I premiered my extended, eponymous poem Here Is Always Vanishing at this event and expect to present it again in altered form.

The audio component was comprised of a combination of live wavetable synthesis and the diagetic sounds of the places and cultures investigated in each poet’s work.

Chelsea Harlan, Elizabeth Peters, Emily Pisacreta, Greg and myself read at the event.
